The Executive Committee is an elected volunteer position that supports our local MSP chapter of IFMA. These positions give you great experience and knowledge in Board Management. Treasurer and Secretary are 2-year terms while Vice President thru Past President is a 6-year term. You are elected in as vice president and then you serve as President and then Past President – each for a two-year term. It is recommended that you have served on an IFMA Committee for at least 1 year and preferable as a co-chair for at least a year to have IFMA MSP Board experience.
The Membership Committee engages new, existing and potential members through phone calls and emails to ensure our members are engaged and the chapter is successful in providing the opportunities are members want and need.
The Academic Outreach Committee provides learning opportunities by coordinating activities outside of monthly chapter meetings for all members and students to advance learning, and professional career development.
The Programs Committee provides regular opportunities for our current and prospective members to connect and learn. This includes monthly programs, tours, deep dives and virtual roundtables.
The Communications Committee works to effectively communicate to current and future membership via various tools to support learning, connecting, advancing, and recognizing for our chapter.
The Special Events Committee is responsible for organizing, selecting and facilitating events and social activities throughout the course of the calendar year. These events include the annual Golf Tournament, Happy Hours, and unique social events quarterly to assist in additional networking opportunities for vendors and facility managers alike to engage with one another in a casual atmosphere.
