The Buddy Program is organized by the Chapter Membership Committee and is designed to pair new members or anyone who feels ‘new’ (“New Buddies”) up with more experienced members (“Sponsor Buddies”) for the purpose of learning more about the Chapter, about IFMA as an organization, and about our industry! It involves some great networking and opportunities to help you gain the most out of your membership!
New Chapter members are automatically paired with a Sponsor Buddy during their first year of membership, however the new member can opt to delay or decline their participation in the program. A representative from the Membership Committee will connect new members with their Sponsor Buddy soon after their membership begins. Members who are not new to the Chapter, but would benefit from participating, should contact Membership Committee Co-Chairs Isaac Fones at Isaac Fones at IsaacF@McKinstry.com, 763-898-5276 or Karen Appelbaum at kappelbaum@nwaf.org, 651-225-3877 to express their interest.
A great way for members to share their industry and Chapter knowledge with others, and make new connections, is by volunteering to be a Sponsor Buddy. For more information, or to sign up as a volunteer, contact Isaac or Karen.
