Email Preferences
IFMA offers multiple ways to receive information, with email being one of the primary channels. To help you better manage what you receive, below are links to the individual IFMA email organizations that may be sending you content.
Please note that if you are part of a council or community, you may need to update those communication preferences separately.
IFMA International
Please contact Kelsey Barrett <kelsey.barrett@ifma.org> directly and ask her to send you a link to update your email preferences.
Please note you will still receive renewal notifications and transactional emails.
You can check which types of emails you want to receive or opt out of all at the bottom of the preferences webpage. Here are the different types of emails you could be receiving from International:
- Membership: Receive monthly member benefits, plus general updates on IFMA membership.
- Community & Council Communications: Get email updates from the communities and councils you are subscribed to.
- Credentials & Training: Stay updated on the latest credentials, certification, training and other learning opportunities.
- Educational Content: Personalized content, guides and resources across a range of facility management topics.
- Newsletters: Subscribe to the full suite of IFMA’s newsletters. Get weekly, bi-weekly or monthly updates on the latest in facility management content and news, delivered to your inbox.
- WIRE Newsletter: Delivered every Tuesday, this newsletter provides you with the latest in FM news, including upcoming webinars, new articles, IFMA member benefits and much more.
- FMJ Newsletter: Once a month, learn about the latest and most read articles published in FMJ, IFMA’s flagship magazine.
- Events Newsletter: Be the first to know about upcoming FM events and webinars.
- Research & Benchmarking
- Read the latest reports and participate in association and industry surveys and studies.
- Special Offers & Discounts: Discounts, limited time offers and other promotions.
- Advertising, Expo & Sponsorship: Get ahead of the competition with updates on the latest advertising and event sponsorship opportunities with IFMA.
- Sales Email | 1:1 Direct Emails: Receive emails from IFMA staff about scheduling meetings, products, services and other information you requested.
- Marketing Information: Marketing offers and updates.
Engage is the platform IFMA uses to create a forum of content provided by all members as a way to ask questions and come together to solve problems and provide best practices. Below are the types of emails you may receive from the Engage platform:
- System Emails: Emails required to confirm user participation. Users cannot opt-out of these emails.
- Group Emails: Emails typically sent from Group Admins or the Group Manager via automation rules (ex: moderation notifications, Component Manager emails). Some automation rules-based emails may be in other categories. By default, you receive Group emails from all your Groups unless you explicitly opt-out.
NOTE: Discussion and consolidated digest settings are on the Group Notifications - Participation Emails: Emails reflecting one-on-one interactions (ex: reply to sender, contact requests, @mentions, real time notifications).
- Promotional Emails: Emails that promote the outcome of purchase (ex: purchase the book of an annual conference speaker).
- Smart Newsletter: Smart Newsletter is a periodic email that contains highly personalized content from community and other sources.
- Go to https://engage.ifma.org/
- Log in
- Click My Account
- Select Community Notifications
- Choose how often you want emails (real-time, daily digest, or no email)
As noted above, there are group notifications that for every group you are a part of in Engage you can also opt to receive a:
- Daily Digest
- Real Time
- No Email
You can also group all discussion from all groups into a:
- Consolidated Daily Digest
- Consolidated Weekly Digest
Or turn off notifications for all groups with one button.
You can opt out of emails from our local chapter where you receive newsletters, announcements and updates from this organization. This will remove you from all emails – there is not an option to remove yourself from just one type.
Currently you should receive emails for:
- Weekly eblast (Mondays)
- Upcoming Event Emails (Thursdays)
- Event Registration Payment confirmation
- Event Registration Receipt
- Sponsorship opportunities
Option 1:“Unsubscribe” or “Manage Preferences” at the bottom of any MSP chapter email. This only affects MSP emails — not your IFMA membership.
Option 2: Log in to the MSP chapter website https://ifma.memberclicks.net/login#/login Login and click on My Profile under your nametag. Click on Settings in the header bar and toggle on or off your Mailing Lists or click Unsubscribe to all IFMA MSP emails.
Option 3: Email the MSP chapter leadership or administrator and ask to adjust your email preferences (for example: events only). info@msp-ifma.org
