IFMA MSP January Chapter Webinar:
The Future of Workplace is The Resilient Office
Please join IFMA MSP and our Chapter Gold Sponsor, RSP, as we discuss the future of our workspace and creating a Resilient Office that is flexible and adaptable to adjust to future disruption.
RSP’s Dawn Brown, Senior Associate at RSP, and Alissa Franconi, Associate Principal and Studio Design Lead at RSP, will talk about recent post-pandemic experience with clients (prominent healthcare, public utility, and others) and how it has provided unique insights into developing a successful Return to Office strategy.
The results show that this begins with the understanding of “Why we want to return to office?”. Many organizations have been addressing the How to return to office, like health safety, process and protocols. While health and safety may be the top priority, the “How” doesn’t address the “Why”. An important question in return to office surveys is indicating that most people have been quite satisfied working remotely – this could be a short-term outcome or a new norm. The jury’s still out. But case in point, cultural integration of current and new hires can only occur most effectively in the “organization’s home”. Thus, there’s merit in thinking about re-establishing the importance of an office all over again.
RSP has focused on discovery, survey and vision sessions to help clients understand their answer to “Why?”, then designing resilient spaces to meet those specific needs. Resiliency is important because the spaces need to respond to workplace strategies but also be flexible and adaptable to adjust to a future disruption.
In this presentation we look at the question “Why you want to return to the office?”. We will also share multiple case studies as examples of different solutions. One size does not fit all. We all want to work together to find what works best for you.
