IFMA MSP April Chapter Meeting:
Applying Change Management Principles to
Help People Adapt to New Workspaces
Join us for our next Chapter Meeting! Attend this discussion to get a first-hand look at how two change managers at the City of Minneapolis prepared employees for a large-scale consolidation from seven different downtown locations into two downtown office buildings. This effort included a “project within a project” – the design of a new way of delivering service to the public, enabled by the layout of the physical space. We will briefly introduce the City’s model of managing the people side of change and share stories and examples of how we applied it to this office consolidation project by engaging the same people who will eventually reside and operate in the new spaces. You will leave this highly interactive session with change management ideas you can apply to your own people challenges.
This program will address the following IFMA Core Competencies: Communication and Human Factors
