•Work with staff to create a strategic plan that connects outcomes to results and operational budget.
•Lead a team that provides a safe and secure environment for all clients, customers, patrons, and employees of the county.
•Consult and work with team members from other internal organizations, including county administration and county board.
•Develop a deep understanding of operational risks and drive response processes to minimize these risks through a continuous cycle of preparedness, response, recovery, and improvement.
•Develop team members and foster professional growth to consistently meet performance standards and increase team knowledge, skills, diversity and engagement.
•Oversee the work of the security leadership team and security staff, specifically in the capacity of mentor and coach.
•Participate in project teams of others, including management review and policy groups.
•Attend meetings as a representative of Facility Services.
•Ensure compliance with federal/state/local agencies regulations and statutes.
•Develop and implement policies and programs covering all facets of County security.
•Assist in stabilizing compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and be knowledgeable of current trends in the security industry.
